Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Good Recipe collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and website.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, user identifier, authentication provider, and authentication records.
• Profile content: display name and profile photo if you choose to provide them.
• Pet and app content: pet profiles, photos, weight records, recipes, feeding plans, and app preferences you enter. Some of this content may remain only on your device unless a cloud-sync feature is expressly enabled.
• Technical and security data: device, app, network, crash, and diagnostic information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Subscription data: product, purchase status, transaction or purchase identifier, renewal, cancellation, refund, and expiry information supplied through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, provide app features, preserve your preferences, process and verify subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve reliability.

Services that process data

We use service providers such as Supabase for authentication and backend services, Google and Apple for optional sign-in, Apple App Store for iOS purchases, Google Play for Android purchases, and Resend for transactional email. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.

Sharing and sale

We share information only with service providers needed to operate Good Recipe, when you direct us to, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal, tax, or dispute purposes. You can delete your account in the app or use our web deletion process. Deleting an account removes the account and associated cloud data, subject to limited records we must retain. Data stored only on a device must be removed from that device, for example by using in-app deletion or uninstalling the app.

Your choices

You may access or update available account information in the app, choose whether to add photos, manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

Children

Good Recipe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, subject to applicable protections.
